Day 01: Cusco /Cusco city + the 4 archaeological ruins

Transfer from the airport to the Hotel. We advise to rest for a couple of hours before starting the scheduled activities.

At 1.30pm meet at hotel and tour of the town in shared service with guide in Spanish. Visit the Qoricancha (temple of the sun) and the important 4 ruins; Sacsayhuaman , Qenqo , Red Red and Tambomachay Return to the hotel at 5.00pm. Free dinner and overnight stay in Cusco.

Notes

• We suggest arriving in Cusco on the first flights, to have time to acclimatize to the altitude.
• We recommend visiting the Qosqo Native Art Center to enjoy the native dances and music of our region. (optional, admission is included)

Day 02: Mountain of / Colors Vinicunca / Cusco

Early morning departure at Shared group service with guide in Spanish.

The first part of the trip lasts almost 3 hours, we will pass through different Andean towns until we reach Cusipata , and then continue towards ( Quesiyono ) approximately 4,400 meters above sea level and begin the climb towards the mountain, during the journey we will be able to see beautiful typical Andean landscapes with a diversity of fauna, the local inhabitants with their typical multicolored costumes, (the passenger can rent a horse). Arrival in Vinicunca at 5029 meters above sea level and time available to enjoy the natural views, see the imposing Ausangate mountain of 6384 meters above sea level (considered the protective apu of the city of Cusco), then we will descend to enjoy a substantial lunch included , and then to be able to continue our return to the city of Cusco where our arrival will be approximately at 5:30/6:30 p.m.

Note: We recommend preparing physically for this hike at significant heights. It is not suitable for people with respiratory or cardiovascular problems.

Day 03: Cusco / Maras salt flats / Moray / Pm. Free to Cusco

Breakfast: At 8:30 am, meeting at the hotel for departure to the Sacred Valley and start of the tour in shared service with a guide in Spanish . We will discover from the top of its viewpoint the incredible Maras salt flats with its 3,500 salt pools, salt mines from the 1600s that currently continue to produce a very particular pink-colored salt. We continue with the visit to the mystic Moray Archaeological Complex ; In this area the Incas experimented with agricultural production at high altitudes with very good results. Return to the hotel in Cusco at 2:30 p.m. Free lunch, free dinner and overnight.

Note: We recommend visiting the historic center of Cusco, the San Blas neighborhood, exploring its typical and historic streets, craft markets, museums, etc.

Day 04: Cusco / Humantay Lagoon / Cusco

At 05:00 hrs. Meeting at the hotel and departure in regular service shared with a Spanish/English speaking guide to head in just under 3 hours on a paved road to the town of Mollepata, crossing the Apurimac River Valley and the town of Limatambo. In Mollepata we will stop to have an abundant breakfast included. Next, it took us another hour on a dirt road to reach Soraypampa , located 3,900 meters above sea level. From this point our walk begins, which lasts about 90 minutes depending on the physical condition of each one” to reach the Humantay lagoon ” located at 4180 meters above sea level between the great Salkantay and Humatay mountains . Arrival in this beautiful area, where the guide will give us more information about the area, the mountains and the lagoon itself. We will have free time to stay in the area and enjoy the views and take photos and videos of this beautiful experience. Afterwards, we begin the return to the base and time for an included lunch. We pick up our vehicle and return to Cusco around 6:30 p.m. Free dinner and overnight.

Note : the last part of the road is difficult…people who want to can rent a horse on their own for 80 soles, one way…the return trip is all downhill.

Day 05: Cusco / Sacred Valley of the Incas / Aguas Calientes

Breakfast. At 07:30 am departure for a full-day shared group excursion with a guide in Spanish to the beautiful Sacred Valley of the Incas , located 33 km from Cusco. First stop at the impressive main viewpoint of the valley. Later, we will visit the typical and famous artisan market of Pisac and then its important Archaeological Center , considered among the 4 most important in Cusco. Stop to taste lunch NOT included. Our visit will continue to the impressive Ollantaytambo fortress in about 30 minutes, where our walking tour inside this enormous Inca structure will be very special. After the visit, transfer to the nearby train station and departure to Aguas Calientes in expeditions class or Incarail ” according to availability”. Trip of approximately 90 minutes. Upon arrival we walked to the hotel. Free dinner and overnight.

Note: Only 5 kg of luggage is allowed on the train, so we recommend bringing a backpack with the necessary items.

Day 06: Aguas Calientes / Machu Picchu / Ollantaytambo / Cusco

Breakfast. According to the designated time for entering Machupicchu , we head on foot to the minibus station, which travels the famous 8 km of road for a travel time of about 25 minutes to reach the magical Inca city of Machupicchu . located just under 2500 m above sea level, for the visit in shared group service and guide in Spanish . Return to Aguas Calientes for free lunch. At the indicated time, departure by train to Ollantaytambo where there will be a change of mobility to return to the city of Cusco. Arrival and meeting with our collaborator to be transferred by private vehicle to the hotel in Cusco. Free dinner and overnight.

Notes

• Entry to the citadel of Machupicchu is limited in number, so we recommend making your reservation in advance.
• If you want to visit Waynapicchu or the Machupicchu mountain , confirm at the time of booking the package, because once the entrance to Machupicchu has been purchased it CANNOT be included later

Day 07: Cusco / Departure to the Airport or Bus Station

Breakfast. Transfer from the Hotel to the airport or the bus station at the coordinated time.

Note: We suggest taking the return flight in the afternoon, so you can have the morning free and be able to explore this magnificent city on your own.
