An authentic journey of exploring three of Perú’s most beautiful regions, beginning in Lima the capital , the white colonial city of Arequipa, and beautiful views of the famous Colca Canyon, your journey continues  on a spectacular ride by private touristic bus towards Puno city. Here you will cruise along in style on the waters of Lake Titicaca aboard a motor boat, visiting its numerous floating islands whose inhabitants continue to live the simple way their ancestors did thousands of years before, head  to Cusco by flight , the capital of the Empire of the Incas

Explore the Sacred Valley which houses the most interesting archeological sites, and then arrive at one of the wonders of the world: Machu Picchu, return by flight to Lima.

Itinerary

Day 01: Lima

Upon arrival at Lima’s airport, our PERU PARADISE travel representative will warmly welcome you and provide a chauffeured transfer to your hotel. Please note that hotel rooms will be available from 14:00 hrs. Overnight stay (No meals).

Day 02: Lima

Private morning excursion from the hotel, exploring the Historic Center of Lima. Visit palaces, large houses, churches, and squares. Enter the Monumental Complex of San Francisco, the largest showcase of colonial religious art in America. Highlights include the underground crypts, known as “Catacombs,” and a visit to ‘Casa Aliaga,’ the oldest colonial house in Latin America. Head to the Larco Museum for a journey through the legacy of pre-Inca cultures. The museum’s galleries provide a detailed look at 3,000 years of Peruvian pre-Columbian history. Enjoy Peruvian gastronomy with lunch at an exclusive restaurant. Explore the modern downtown with views of the Pacific Ocean and the residential suburb of San Isidro. Meals included: breakfast and lunch.

Day 03: Lima / Arequipa

In the morning, transfer to Lima airport for a flight to Arequipa (Airfare Not Included). Upon arrival, you’ll be received and transferred to your exclusive hotel. In the afternoon, explore Arequipa, known as the ‘white city.’ Visit Plaza de Armas, the Cathedral, the Cloister of the Church and Society, The Temple, and the Plaza of San Francisco. Tour the San Lorenzo neighborhood and visit the extraordinary Santa Catalina Convent, a 16th-century colonial citadel with narrow streets, squares, and perfumed gardens. Admire the scenic beauty of Yanahuara’s Pointview with views of Misti Volcano, Pichu Pichu, and Chachani, as well as the terraces of Paucarpata. Return to the hotel for an overnight stay. (B)

Day 04: Arequipa / Colca Canyon

Early morning departure from Arequipa towards the valley. Along the way, spot wild vicuñas in Pampa Cañahuas National Reserve, alpacas, llamas, and various bird species. Marvel at the panoramic views of majestic volcanoes and glaciers as you enter the Colca Valley. After approximately 5 hours, arrive at Belmond Casitas del Colca, an ultimate secluded hideaway showcasing Peru’s natural beauty.

Day 05: Colca Canyon

Depart early for “Cruz del Condor,” appreciating one of the deepest parts of the canyon and witnessing the legendary condor in its natural habitat. Continue the journey through the Colca Valley, visiting small towns, churches, pre-Inca tombs, and Andean terraces.

Additional Information: The Colca Canyon is one of the world’s deepest canyons, reaching depths of over 10,000 feet (3,000 meters). It is renowned for its stunning landscapes and the majestic flight of the Andean condors.

Day 06: Colca Canyon / Puno / Titilaca

In the morning, depart for Titicaca Lake to reach your exclusive hotel, Titilaca, a boutique property secluded on a private peninsula. Immerse yourself in the intriguing allure of Lake Titicaca, where sky, earth, and water connect at nearly 4000 meters above sea level.

Additional Information: Lake Titicaca is the highest navigable lake in the world and holds cultural significance for the Andean people, known for its unique floating islands and traditional ways of life.

Notes: All meals, cocktails, tea time, and minibar consumption are included in the hotel rate. A-la-carte lunch and dinner are served with wine.

Day 07: Puno / Titilaca

Enjoy a day of unique activities and experiences, sharing moments with other hotel guests. Discover the distinctive nature, history, and culture of the region.

Day 08: Puno / Juliaca / Cusco

In the morning, transfer to the airport for a flight to Cusco. Upon arrival, your guide will escort you to Inkaterra La Casona, a boutique hotel reflecting the encounter of cultures and traditions across centuries, located in the traditional Plaza de las Nazarenas. In the afternoon, explore the incredible city of Cusco, visiting the famed cathedral, Temple of the Sun, Hatunrumiyoc Street, and San Blas artisan quarter. Meals included: breakfast.

Additional Information: Cusco, the former capital of the Inca Empire, is renowned for its well-preserved Inca architecture, vibrant markets, and rich cultural heritage.

Day 09: Cusco / Urubamba Valley

Full-day excursion to the archaeological sites of Sacsayhuaman Fortress, Q’enko, and Tambomachay. Continue to the Urubamba Valley, visiting the iconic archaeological group of Pisac, known for its platform system and carved stone enclosures. Stop in Urubamba for lunch at a typical restaurant (optional). Afterward, visit Ollantaytambo, a finely worked ceremonial center with well-built walls that were never completed. Transfer to your hotel in the heart of the Sacred Valley.

Additional Information: The Sacred Valley is home to numerous Inca archaeological sites, each with its unique history and significance.

Day 10: Urubamba / Chincheros / Maras / Moray / Urubamba

After a rich breakfast, visit the Andean village of Chincheros, known as the birthplace of the rainbow. Explore Inca ruins, a colonial church, and a colorful Sunday market. Head to the Salt Mines of Maras, exploited since the time of the Tahuantinsuyo. The terraces, connected by an irrigation system, form platforms for salt production. Continue to the terraces of Moray, resembling a sunken amphitheater. Each terrace features different plant varieties adapted to thermal variations. Return to the hotel.

Additional Information: Chincheros is a picturesque Andean village, and the Salt Mines of Maras and the terraces of Moray showcase ancient Inca engineering and agricultural practices.

Shortly after, enjoy a 3-course gourmet lunch at Iskay, minutes away from Maras, with impressive views over the surrounding valley. The menu is created and freshly prepared by the hostess, showcasing seasonal and locally sourced ingredients.

Day 11: Urubamba / Aguas Calientes / Machu Picchu / Cusco

A magical journey through the Peruvian Andes on the exclusive and luxurious Belmond Hiram Bingham train. Enjoy the elegant dining car, bar car, and observatory, sipping traditional Peruvian cocktails while listening to live local music. From Aguas Calientes, take a bus to the top of the mountain where the Inca citadel of Machu Picchu resides. Explore the archaeological complex with your guide and enjoy an afternoon tea at Belmond Sanctuary Lodge. Return to Cusco.

Additional Information: Machu Picchu, a UNESCO World Heritage site, is an iconic Inca citadel nestled in the Andes. The Belmond Hiram Bingham train offers a luxurious journey to this marvel.

Note: The Belmond Hiram Bingham train operates daily, excluding the last Sunday of each month. Please check the current operational status.

Day 12: Cusco / Lima

Transfer to Cusco airport for a domestic flight back to Lima. Arrive at Jorge Chavez International Airport for your departure flight home.
